How to Upgrade Windows 7 From Starter or Home Premium Edition to Professional or Ultimate Edition?

1. Click Start(or circular windows icon at the bottom left corner), type Windows Anytime Upgrade in the search box, and open it.
   
2. You are given two options as shown in the screenshot below:
   

• i. The first option allows you to purchase your desired edition of Windows 7 online, and will automatically upgrade your windows to the edition you’ve purchased in a matter of minutes. To do this, click on the “Buy” button under the edition of your choice, fill in all required payment information and it will perform the upgrades for you. Note: Windows Anytime Upgrade is only available for online purchase in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
  
• ii. If you already have a product key of the edition you’ve purchased yourself, select the second option, enter the product key and it will perform the upgrade automatically.
  

The upgrade will be done in a matter of minutes. Be patient. Do not restart, shut down or unplug anything off your PC during the upgrade.
